I really wish that our pass cross in the future and have the chance to work again together

As a career consultant, I organise meetings with experts for my teenage clients who are considering careers in varied fields. I invited Ana to conduct a UX/UI workshop for my client—a UK boarding school student currently preparing her university applications. My client is considering a career in design; yet the workshop was even more useful for her because it showcased how her current creative portfolio can be enhanced by applying the principles of UX/UI, regardless of the programmes within the creative industries that she chooses to apply for.

Ana prepared a thorough introductory presentation on UX/UI design, illustrating how colour, typography and layout can be used to express individual or brand personality. A theoretical intro was followed by a case study, where Ana offered a redesign of my client's portfolio, explaining each tweak she made to the original slides. Ana made sure to highlight the better stylistic decisions made by my client, such as collage techniques. She created a welcoming space where my client felt comfortable to share her own thoughts and ideas, e.g. they had a productive discussion about the text to image ratio of the slides.
